The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 需要多些正面疏导自我鼓励
看到最后，那个光用的、滤镜加的，我以为是Share house 广告片……很典型的日式糖水片。
挺好笑的一部片子，看到最后才发现原来是share house宣传片。如果share house真的可以那么轻松快乐就好了，可惜现实应该不会那么好吧。
高潮没有撑起来。但我羡慕这有山有海有猫的big house 。
结尾相当于海忍上去砍一刀，一刀就把自己砍残血，于是辉夜姬上去一技能削弱敌方，御馔津开大一箭秒了八岐大蛇哈哈哈哈太匆忙了吧！
感觉像是吃了广告安利，不过也减缓我的焦虑。人生嘛，就得踏实慢慢地熬下去
天海佑希和五郎的组合很有意思，但是是妈妈最有气质和神韵～主题沉重演绎的很轻松，只能当做一部喜剧来看了，没有啥社会价值～
电影的画风与剧情是不想当，一方面极具日常，一方面又神秘玄乎，涉及的元素很多，可惜却没有融洽的结合。如果能保持前半段恬淡的叙述，还是不错的治愈电影。
看到河童的时候，就一直想不起来这是什么物种～印象中有个动漫里也有河童～我的脑子
后期很仓促，画风实在不适合最后大战，讲讲妖怪和日常故事的话会好看点.
四颗星给美丽的风景，治愈舒服😌。情节后期出现妖怪有点突兀，死的很突然。
人物和服装设计很像中国人画的耶。。福岛乡村振兴这份钱真没白话。
能看的只有奶奶讲故事的部分，能听只有片尾（突然听到自己以前听的歌）

随机播到的一部片子，剧情一般，妖怪们好可爱
感觉是想喜剧的表现，但是前半段看着压力好大，后半段就有点避重就轻了，过于理想化
故事结构是还行的，但是细节处理起来真的粗糙，节奏也不行。日常内容可以慢，但要有氛围，完全就只是靠人设撑着。高潮来的既平又莫名。
“生活就要尽自己所能，我们都别无选择，只能尽我们所能。”
还不错，想到了自己的老年生活，会是怎样度过呢？
