The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 可能文化差异，不太能接受片中大部分角色，就言行来说，有点把同志妖魔化的嫌疑。当然，对情感而言，关系的变化处理是可以的。

2.5/5 该片少数做对了的地方：1）being vulnerable is okay; 2）为亚裔男同增加了cinematic representation; 3）（浅薄地）视像化了男同社群令人窒息的种族主义与white queerness. 但这也是它令人失望的地方：批评heteronormativity时行heteronormativity之实，讽刺white queerness却无时不刻都充斥着white queerness. 批判力度还不如亚裔同志博主写得出彩的网文，2022年了还在玩把主角换成少数群体、内核却依旧陈腐的烂把戏。virtue signaling, queer-baiting content at its finest…（Bowen请好好挑剧本…
非常Pride and Prejudice甚至到雷同的地步，结尾很难不联想到糟糕的white savior complex以及romcom都有的俗套桥段。但还是想给五星。They r queer, they r here, get used to it.
It’s the mostly romantic atmosphere that attracts me. Maybe I’m not so accustomed to that kind friendship. But I yearn for that kind relationship between lovers. The songs are pretty good, maybe added to my favorite playlist. Btw, Will is my type, haha.

难得的一部不那么伤感的同性影片，看完嘴角不自觉上扬。
居然如此纯爱…..而且是大团圆结局…….一下就俗不可耐…….
啊will嗓音低沉谁不可以！！男主居然是编剧汗制片人。应该是第二次跟随镜头来到这个岛。恍惚中觉得自己能有一世有过这样的体验那该有多好啊。看看肉图一乐呵完事。

每一个人设，每一个情节，都似曾相识（夸张），总的来说就是老套，倍速看完
但那又怎样，骄傲月里，我的结局我做主。因为亚裔主创，我不自觉的将3颗星提升到了4颗。

看之前没看简介，看的时候发现了各种pride and prejudice的reference 笑的要死
howie实在太像我前领导了我一直出戏对不起！
比起剧集《北海鲸梦》，这部就差了好多呢，不管是剧情还是画面都逊色很多。但它展示了一种不安分的坚持。
挺沉闷的一片子，到不知为啥很快就看到结尾了，或许是相同的低谷经历，还是挺享受这一段juorney的。
