茨维格没挺过战争，男主靠象棋挺过了。虽然也是满心疮痍。

这不就标准好莱坞打法？剧情太简单了，年轻的线也没交代清楚，有些桥段还是动人的
青年组的表演略尬，老年组全然一副舞台感，故事在文艺和世俗间反复横跳…
十分推荐，作为电影来说拍得非常工整，没有一个镜头和细节是浪费的。
这部电影不如说是借用了《象棋的故事》。
朋友烂泥说：“为什么看电影的人，生命得到了延长，因为拍电影的人生命缩短了，能量守恒。 ”能看着电影在电影院死去是电影之神的眷顾。
错付的情感，算不上圆满的圆满。family drama，也关于电影，戳我，不断泪目。

原著中没有妻子这个人物设定，茨威格身为犹太人，一生饱尝精神迫害和流离失所。
为当年的松竹、清水宏和小津爆哭。如果电影之神真的存在，也应该是像米沃什的“时代精神”一样，走来走去。

为保证客户资产密码，男主被纳粹禁锢、折磨，靠着一本棋谱熬过了战争，战后进了精神病院。另一条线即游轮上进行的象棋比赛，应为男主幻想出来的？

能用自己最爱的电影拿到奖，能在最爱的电影过程中死去，太浪漫了。

女人给了男人幸福，男人却用自甘堕落回报女人。ps淑子也太可爱了吧！
跟小说角度不同，结尾不同，整个故事也变成了男主的一个幻想。电影里男主被送到了奥地利的疯人院，象棋书内的照片也似乎就是那个象棋冠军，一切都可能是男主臆想出来的，可见纳粹对一个精神健全性格开朗拥有教养的一个人的精神与身体的冷酷摧残。小说很短，可以找来看看，做做比较。我更喜欢小说。象棋冠军利用并诱使男主的精神崩溃，以及男主人公最后又渐渐恢复了彬彬有礼，让人不寒而栗。
